Exeter's John Lewis misses out on Store Design of the Year Award
EXETER’s John Lewis has just missed out on the Store Design of the Year award.
The building in Sidwell Street, once dubbed the ugliest in Exeter was shortlisted for the award at a ceremony organised by Retail Week.
It missed out to a refurbished Fat Face in Chichester but staff are not too despondent as overall John Lewis was voted Retailer of the Year and Multi-channel retailer of the year.
Exeter store manager Kate Connock said: “Any sense of disappointment for the team pales away as John Lewis won two of the highest awards.
