Exeter train services hit by flooding
Flooding in the Exeter area, and beyond, has affected train services to and from Exeter. Services have been cancelled or delayed by up to two hours, according to the operator First Great Western (FGW).
All lines from Exeter to Tiverton Parkway are currently blocked and no trains are calling at any stations between Exeter St Davids and Taunton.

No bus replacement for some stations
Train services would normally be replaced by road transport in the event of floods or line blockages. However, road transport is not available to these stations because of flooding: Newton St Cyres, Crediton, Yeoford, Copplestone, Morchard Rd, Lapford, Eggesford, Kings Nympton, Portsmouth Arms, Umberleigh or Chapleton.

Ticket arrangements
First Great Western is being flexible about ticketing and says that passengers may use South West Trains on all reasonable routes. Tickets dated for Saturday 24 November can be used on Sunday 25 November if a passenger has been delayed because of the disruption. The company's website adds that "CrossCountry and First Great Western are accepting each other's tickets between Bristol Temple Meads and Exeter St Davids."
Don't travel
First Great Western is advising rail passengers not to travel by rail in the area unless absolutely necessary "due to the limited infrastructure available".
The disruption is expected to continue until at least 2am on Monday morning.
