Exmouth Town drawn against Elburton Villa in Throgmorton Cup semi-final
South West Peninsula League division one east side Exmouth Town have been given a good chance of making it through to the final of the Throgmorton Cup after the drew Elburton Villa in the semi-final.
Exmouth, managed by former Exeter City player Richard Pears, came from a goal down to beat Stoke Gabriel on Wednesday night to book their place in the last four.
And while their opponents Elburton Villa do play in the league above Exmouth, Pears' team will be releived that they avoided cup holders and SWPL premier division champions Bodmin in the semi-final draw.
Exmouth have yet to play a premier division side in the competition, beating Axminster and Penryn in previous rounds.
