Exmouth man escapes jail after admitting string of offences related to child pornography
Andrew Rodger, 57, of Maer Lane, Exmouth, has received an eight-week jail term suspended for two years after admitting a series of offences related to making indecent photographs of children
He pleaded guilty to making 12 images of children involved in sexual activity with adults; making nine images of children involve in sexual activity including one image which featured a baby; making 12 images of children involved in sexual activity; making nine images of children involved in sexual activity; two counts of possessing a prohibited image of a child; and two counts of making indecent photographs of young girls.

He will have to pay costs of £85 and the images will be destroyed. A sexual offences prevention order was made with a number of conditions. This includes preventing Rodger from residing or remaining in a domestic premises where there is a child under the age of 16 unless a parent of guardian is present, and that person must have prior knowledge of Rodger's sexual offending and inappropriate behaviour. He must not undertake any activity or employment which is likely at some time to allow him unsupervised access to a child under the age of 16. he also cannot directly or indirectly pursue or maintain contact with any child or young person under the age of 16; invite or have any child under the age of 16 in his car; and capture an image of a child under 16 using any kind of device. The order lasts for five years.

“Well done to the system. Now we don't even jail paedophiles in this country it seems.
At this rate in a years time you'll get a slap on the wrist for rape. 2 Years, murder will only get you community service sentence.
Seriously how can they possible have overcrowded prisons when nobody seems to be getting sent to prison despite the severity of the crime.
This man should have been put down. A quick but permanent solution that doesn't risk any children in the future.”
