Extra Avocet Line trains out of Exeter
A six week trial of additional trains on the Avocet Line between Exmouth and Exeter will begin this Sunday (18 November).
Between 10am and 6pm on Sundays until December 23, trains will run every half hour. The usual service is hourly on Sunday.

To mark the occasion, Exmouth Halsdon and Woodbury County Councillor Bernard Hughes, Chair of the Devon and Exeter Area Rail Project Working Party, will flag away the 12 57 train from Exmouth station this Sunday using a traditional Guard's green flag. He will be joined by Tony Day, Chairman of the Avocet Line Rail Users' Group.
Mr Day said: "A lot of passengers have told us they think the extra trains are a great idea, so I think they will be well used. The half hourly service will certainly be a help for people visiting during the Christmas period – it will save them hanging around at Exeter St David's waiting for connections."

The additional trains are being funded by Devon County Council and the Designated Community Rail Development Fund, backed by the Department for Transport, Network Rail and the Association of Community Rail Partnerships.
