Family views of the moor
A UNIQUE chance to view up to 50 paintings, all in private ownership and mostly of Dartmoor views by the late artist William Snell Morrish, is being offered in Chagford.
For one day only, on Saturday, June 23, an exhibition of paintings by the prolific, talented painter will be on show at the Jubilee Hall in Chagford.
William, who was born in 1844 and died in 1917, painted many scenes of moorland views. Also on display will be some paintings by his father, son and daughter, as well as historical information about the family. The exhibition is open from 10.30am to 4.30pm. Entry £3, under 16's free.
