Stayed the same again. Well, I suppose I am maintaining my weight really, but I have some size 14 skirts in my wardrobe which are still too tight. Husband bought them for me for Christmas and I still can't get into them comfortably. I can only zip them up if I lie flat on the ground.
Sharon's talk last night was about the perils of picnicking. She had a cool bag loaded with all the goodies to be found at an average picnic, and then she proceeded to go through the points value of each item. Six points for a Scotch egg for a start. Oh dear! Then she went through an alternative list of delicacies all of which had a much lower points value. So all is not lost — although a pasty from Gayes creamery in Dawlish followed by one of their ice creams will always remain a huge temptation.
Helped out at Sharon's Teignmouth class tonight which gave me a chance to listen to the picnic talk again and to resolve to pay attention to her alternative foodie suggestions. King prawns are much, much better than any old pasty.

Such hot weather today! Melt along to work and arrive with a scarlet and dripping face. The air conditioning is very effective though, and I soon cool down to the point of needing a cardigan. Usual salad for lunch and a walk home.
Have notched up six points on the pedo so far today. We visit fave bar steward for a beer and a sandwich. Points consumed today: 21. Not bad.

Even hotter walking in today and I have to reluctantly abandon my all-concealing jacket in the interests of keeping cool.
Mid-morning and a huge box of Swiss chocolates turns up on the empty desk next to me. A gift to the department from a grateful boss. Oh! Take them away. They smell of too much chocolate. Suck a strong mint instead and the chocs disappear to a distant desk, thank heaven.
Husband phones and says he is just passing the office and did I want a lift since it was so hot? Well, yes, that would be nice. I do feel a bit guilty not earning those extra points by not walking, but there you go. It is the start of the weekend after all.

Didn't get up until about 9.30am which made a blissful change from 6am.
Take dog for an amble in the fields and we go off to Otter Nurseries for lunch. Just a ham salad, oh and the ice cream hut was open today so I had a double cone filled with rum and raisin on one side and honeycomb on the other. Husband had toffee and vanilla. Took us a good 15 minutes to eat them. Delicious.
Home to watch the tennis while eating strawberries and cream.
Chicken mayo sandwiches for supper followed by some chocolate and wine. Not a good day: 45 points. Weekends are a struggle.

Gorgeous day again. Suggest to dog that Exmouth might be an option, so we all go for a stroll. Nothing too strenuous since dog reminded us that he is knocking on a bit, and, besides, it is a bit too hot for a long walk. Settle on a short amble and then a bacon butty at the Harbour View. Well, husband has the butty and I have a toasted tea cake.
Café is packed today and it all seems to be by people packing their faces with chips and fried breakfasts. Most of them are slim too. Sometimes life is so unfair.
Home to catch up on the papers and then to watch the tennis on telly.
We are having supper with a friend tonight and I have prepared a liver casserole with mash and peas. Points: a respectable eight per serving. I don't want to think about the toasted teacake.

Hmm, dog has the right idea; sleep all morning. Had an alarm clock failure and woke up half an hour later than usual. No time for breakfast, which is probably just as well after my calorie-packed weekend. Did I mention the Twix I had after the toasted tea cake?
Usual salad for lunch with the last of the piccalilli, which ended up being rather a lot. Made my salad colourful, if pungent. Husband said it looked like something the cat brought up.
Succumbed to yet another lift home on account of the fact it looked as if it might rain. It didn't, of course, and the traffic was so bad that it took me longer to get home than if I had actually walked. Another guilt trip over my idleness. Take dog out for an amble instead, and that was when the heavens did open. Serve me right for being so lazy!
There is some chicken in the fridge so give half to the dog for his supper. Dog turns up his nose at it. We could have eaten the chicken if dog had mentioned his lack of appetite. Bulk out the curry with a tin of chick peas. Not my most successful of culinary experiments. Husband agreed.
Good points score today: 16 plus three extra ones earned on pedo.

Rainy sort of day today, but managed to avoid the showers. Lunch at my desk; salad followed by a fresh pear and a yoghurt. Will I have lost weight tonight? I really don't think so.
Well, I was correct. Have stayed the same. But I am really pleased with that. Managed to resist the lure of fave hostelry and went home to a vegetable casserole followed by a lollipop and some jelly.
