STOKE Rivers sheep and cattle farmer, Eddie Gubb, is the only North Devon name in this year's final of the Forage for Profit awards.

He'll find out how well he's done in his category at the end of the month when the winners are announced.

Other finalists include Mary Quicke of Newton St Cyres in the Grazing category and Danny Partridge of Dunsford, near Exeter, in the Most Improved category..

The Forage for Profit scheme encourages better quality grass, silage and maize production on the farm.
