The summer will see a designated junior night at the club with junior academy membership costing £20. In the meantime, sessions continue on Saturday mornings. Under-11s start at 9.30am, with a session for older children beginning an hour later.

The first midweek competition of the year at Fingle Glen was played freezing conditions, resulting in a 17-hole course and temporary greens. Division 2 players led the way with Steve Ebdon winning (43pts) with Brian Donald (42) just ahead of Peter Miliffe (41).

Paul Collings topped Division 1 with 40 points ahead of Alan Baxendale (39) and Keith Barzey (37).

Against all odds, the seniors' section also managed a competition last week. Colin Vincent won with 43 points, followed by Bob Harris (41), Les Mugridge (40) & John Middleton (40).
