FINGLE Glen will begin the defence of their East Devon Golf League title with a tough match against Honiton at Exminster next April.

Fingle, who were unbeaten on the road to the title, were held to draws by Honiton and Sidmouth last season.

Sidmouth were eventual runners-up and they will meet Fingle in late July at Axe Cliff.

All league ties will now be played on neutral courses with the first round of matches at Exminster on April 10 and the season ending at Padbrook Park on September 26.

The League winners receive the Express & Echo Shield. Matches will continue to be five fourball betterball matches with the overall match winners getting two points.
