Fish out the plastic bags, it's so simple
WHEN is someone going to fish all the plastic bags out of the River Exe flood relief channel?
I imagine someone with waders could do the job in a morning but that's after there has been an council inspection, then a meeting, then the usual involvement of the Health and Safety Executive, then an Environmental Impact report then… well, the list goes on!
Why can't someone in a little boat just paddle up and down and get it looking shipshape before the tourists arrive?

“Agree totally. It is a disgrace. Rode my bike in this area Saturday. Had to navigate amongstthe 20 or so lagercans on the cycle way, then look at these floating eyesores.
Who are these people who throw things around? A bunch of indisciplined morons.”

“Couldn't sgree more. It is a disgrace; firstly that people deposit them around there and secondly that there is no policy to remove them. I rode my bicycle along here last Saturday and had to navigate between the deposited lager cans on the cycle way, and then look across at these floaters.
What sort of people are they that throw things around this way and that? An indisciplined mob of morons.”
