Fisherman in fatal boat incident named

A fisherman who died after his small boat sank off the Devon coast has been named as married father-of-two Andy Westaway.

Mr Westaway, 46, was fishing for mackerel and herring off Torquay, when his 19ft vessel ran into trouble.

It is believed the boat may have been swamped and sank in atrocious weather on Monday night as he returned to port and his body was later found in the sea.

Members of the local fishing community have since returned to the spot where he was lost and dropped their nets.
