FLOODING HAS HIT Devon overnight, with the A376 main road between Exmouth and Exeter closed at Summer Lane for much of the day...

Diversions were in place, but many drivers gave up. There was also a large amount of surface water around, even on higher points outside the town, such as the Salterton Road near Tesco and Lidl.
