EXETER Korfball Club will be holding free adult taster sessions for new players throughout September.

Korfball is a mixed team sport similar to netball and basketball.

Exeter Korfball Club, established in 2003, has two teams that compete in an indoor South West league in winter. The club enters outdoor tournaments all over the country in summer.

The club has a strong social element. Events last year included Go Ape, canoeing to Turf Locks and many pub quizzes.

The free taster sessions at Clifton Hill Sports Centre run on Thursdays throughout September from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Tuesday sessions run at Exeter School sports hall from 6.30pm to 8pm.

Led by British Korfball Association-qualified coaches, the training sessions will cover the basics of korfball and build up over the month. All equipment will be provided, just bring a sports kit.
