Fresh appeal in inquiry on jewellery raid
POLICE have reissued this image of two people suspected of involvement in a jewellery shop raid when thieves walked away with more than £38,000 of goods unnoticed by staff or shoppers.
The extraordinary theft, which was over in minutes, took place during the day at Exeter's Ernest Jones shop in High Street.
Detectives launched an inquiry in September to track down the culprits and have now refreshed their appeal for information.
The suspects are understood to have opened a secure display cabinet situated on the shop floor and removed jewellery valued at £38,500. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting crime reference DE/12/8594.
