Part two of the annual football heavyweight battle is here, with Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer looking to gain back some ground after seeming to fall by the wayside in recent seasons. For those hardcore PES fans who refused to give in and switch allegiance, this 2010 instalment will come as a well-earned reward. The game-engine has been tightened up in many areas, creating the kind of free-flowing football action we've missed for a couple of years. Tidied-up tactics and some astoundingly realistic graphics give the series the kind of shot in the arm it was desperate for, and the Master League will still easily suck away weeks, if not months, of your life. There's no doubt about it, FIFA is still the master, but the fun factor is back in PES, and long may that continue.
