Furzer wins via TKO
TONY Furzer made an impressive return to the ring after a two-year absence to beat former European champion Geoff McCreesh in London.
The Exeter boxer – who took the time off to recover from an arm injury – did not have the best of starts and was losing the first three rounds of the super middleweight contest.
But the 40-year-old fought – fighting in Streatham – came back to win by a technical knockout in the fifth.
Furzer said: "I was so pleased. I cannot explain how good it felt, it was a great feeling. I felt on top of the world.
