FORMER England international snooker captain Mike Gold hit Division One's highest break of the season with a 95, but still ended up on the losing side as Polsloe & Priory A were beaten by GWR West A 4-1.

Andy Ellis returned a break of 37 for GWR, who move up to second spot, seven points behind Riley's A.

The leaders, meanwhile, were 4-1 winners at Pinhoe B. Mike King produced a break of 70 for Rileys, who need just a single point from their last match of the season to clinch the title.

City Transport A have slipped into mid-table after losing 4-1 at home to St Thomas A. The best two breaks in the match came from Gareth Clark (30) and Dave Howell (54)

Daniel Reeves of Potters Bar A steered his team to a 3-2 victory away to GWR South A with the aid of a 71 break,

Topsham Conservatives A take over as leaders in Division Two after a 4-1 victory against Pinhoe D.

The leaders have opened up a two-point lead over GWR South B, who lost 3-2 at Pinhoe C.

Despite a winning break of 22 from Luke Bennett of Heavitree Conservatives, his team ended up losing 3-2 to the third-placed Riley's C

Division Three leaders Potters Bar B have opened up a four-point lead at the top after a 4-1 home win against St Thomas D.

Whipton Labour have moved up to second spot after a 3-2 win over Riley's D in a late result from last week.

In a result outstanding from last week, Polsloe & Priory B were 4-1 winners away to St Thomas B.

Third-placed St Thomas C pulled off a convincing 4-1 away win against Heavitree Social — the St Thomas team are five points behind the leaders.

GWR South C are looking favourites to take the Division Four title.

They have two matches left to play this season and are five points clear at the top.

This week they beat Civil Service B 5-0 away and lost 3-2 in their match against second-placed City Transport B. The breaks for the Transport team came from Mark Holwill with a 39 and Kevin Williams a 31 — the Transport team are now out of the running.

Billiards Division leaders Bradninch notched up a 3-0 victory away to Pinhoe, with the consistent Eddie Andress assisting with breaks of 43, 40 and 55, supported by Adam Turnock with a 37.
