Devon PGA Winter Medal

Paul Hendriksen of Dinnaton claimed victory in the sixth medal of the season at Royal North Devon, scoring 73 to hold off Okehampton's Ashley Moon.

Hendriksen's round consisted of four birdies and five bogies, and he felt the key to his success was the control he had over the ball with his irons.

The win pushes Hendriksen, the 2011 Order of Merit winner, up to sixth in this year's standings.

Moon's second-place finish extends his lead at the top of the Order of Merit.

Results: 1 Paul Hendriksen (Dinnaton) 73; 2 Ashley Moon (Okehampton) 75; 3 Ben Martin (Torbay Golf Centre) 76; 4 Christian Vine (Axe Cliff), James Pickard (Honiton) 77; 6 Dan Hendriksen (Churston), Kevin Harper (Sidmouth), Dan Wood (Holsworthy) 78
