Griggs to the fore for Thors
THE second half of the D Division season could not have started better for leaders Thorverton, who won at Kilmington and then learned that the two sides closest to them had lost.
Thorverton were dominant from start to finish.
Kilmington banked maximum batting points as they were bowled out for 216. Will Denford claimed three wickets and there were two each for Nick Barton and Kobi Griggs.
The run chase was led once again by the impressive George Greed, who struck a fine 78 not out.
Griggs hit another half-century to add to his earlier wickets and Ali Fury chipped in with 30.
The Thors' Gareth Hess said: "It was another comprehensive performance throughout the side. We are in good condition right now but are not getting carried away.
"There is a lot of cricket left in the campaign but we are well placed to go on and complete the job we began in early May."
