THERE will be a road block set up on the A361 this morning so that work can be carried out on the Great Western Canal.

But Devon County Council is reporting that water levels are dropping and currently pose no  significant safety risk or concerns.

The Devon Fire and Rescue Service is pulling out and South West Highways will be setting up a road closure for further work to be carried out this morning.

Police have arranged for a Chinook helicopter to collect a large pump today and will also be controlling a rolling road block on the A361 so that the pump can be delivered to a lay-by for collection.
