“Could not agree more. The councils have been messing about wiuth Sidwell Street for too long. One minute they have zebra crossings, then they don't. they make Paris street one way, and nobody who is a stranger to Exeter has a clue. As for Debenhams something must be done, this has been a disaster since the whole redevelopment project was planned. Mind you soon some of the senior planners will soon be gone.

I would like to know about the asbestos in the building, that was very quiet, now we know the continuing problems, they will probably dare not touch the building, not safe to do so, well that's what I think.”

“sidwell street is terrible for pedestrians and has been for years, it needs the council and local authority to intorduce a traffic calming system and to clean up the whole are it looks dreadful in comparison with high street which does not allow lorries-with debenhams old building up for re-development something has to be done-the local swimming baths too are another relic and need attention-it seems that 'high street' gets all the money allocated and attention yet sidwell street/bus stsation/swim pool are all well used and need urgent updating.”
