7PM: The wreckage of the MSC Napoli could be cleared by August after five vessels returned to the East Devon coast this weekend to continue the salvage operation.
The collection of cranes, barges, tugs and utility vessels, which now dominate the Jurassic Coast horizon, will be joined by one further lift barge on Saturday to hoist up the stricken vessel.

6PM: Farming friends from Exeter will be competing tonight for a place in the finals of ITV's Britain's Got Talent.
Sam Parris, 27, Bobby Barns, 18, and Lyle Burrough, 19, known as the Barrow Boys, won through to the semi-finals with their unusual dance act, featuring wheelbarrows.
5PM: Pressure is building on East Devon's Conservative MP to reveal what items he has bought with taxpayers' money and how much he pays his wife.
Hugo Swire is now the only MP in the Echo's circulation area not to have details of his expenses scrutinised.

4PM: Police have arrested three people in connection with a series of night-time cash machine robberies.
Exeter detectives believe an organised gang is responsible for stealing thousands of pounds in a raid on a ATM at Sainsbury's, in Alphington, Exeter.
It is believed the gang raided four ATMs within a few hours.

3PM: An organisation which has raised more than £100,000 for good causes faces closure in a Devon town, if a new chairman does not come forward.
Lionel Howell is standing down on health grounds from the Exmouth 531st Tribute Fund, after he helped set up the group.

2PM: City planners are being asked to decide whether a phone mast should be put next to an Exeter conservation area.
Fifteen residents have objected to the scheme proposed by Vodafone, which is seeking permission for a 45ft monopole in Cowick Street on the south east boundary of the car park at the Tesco store.

1PM: Businesses have boosted students' motivation at school by providing generous raffle prizes to award hard work by GCSE pupils at Clyst Vale Community College.
Students earned tickets for working hard, being positive and demonstrating a good attitude to learning.
The big draw took place at a special assembly and 13 major prizes were given out, including from rugby tickets, beauty treatment for the forthcoming Prom, and a mountain bike.

NOON: Two large birds of prey are to be released over Exeter to scare away nuisance seagulls.
Harris Hawks, Zulu and Zorro, are being scrambled to fend off the gulls that have been zeroing in on diners' plates in Exeter's Princesshay shopping quarter.
They have even been spotted nipping in through open office windows to steal sandwiches.

11AM: An Exeter charity is appealing for food donations after stocks have run dangerously low.
Exeter Food Bank has run out of grub and is appealing for people to help by donating food.
Project co-ordinator Aimery Martin said: "Our stocks as so low that it's difficult to make up a balanced food parcel for people in crisis.

10AM: Devon explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes spoke today of his joy at conquering Everest on his third attempt.
The veteran explorer achieved his goal of reaching the peak of the Himalayan mountain last week at the age of 65 – despite suffering from a fear of heights.
"I get vertigo, and don't like looking down," he said at a press conference in London to mark his return.
9AM: A man has been arrested after a car collided with the front of a house in a village in mid Devon.
Police were called at 8.48pm to a collision involving two cars outside The White Hart in Bow, near Crediton.
One man then tried to drive off, at which point the car collided with the front of a house.
