INTERACTIVE MAP: Figures reveal busy year for RNLI volunteers in East Devon
THE RNLI has revealed how many people it saved on the beaches of East Devon and from local lifeboat stations last year.
In 2012 RNLI lifeguards patrolled 16 beaches across Devon, dealing with 1,714 incidents, assisting 2,175 people and saving 12 lives.
