Isca celebrate with a 6-0 win
IT is down-to-the-wire time for national and regional hockey league teams.
The last round of men's regional Davis Wood Hockey League matches take place this weekend, and it's the penultimate weekend for games in the national Men's Hockey League, Investec Women's League and regional West Clubs Women's League.
Isca celebrated their promotion from the men's regional top flight with a 6-0 win at seventh-placed Team Bath Buccaneers A and a hat-trick for Jon Wright to add to goals from Jamie Cooke, Tom Whitworth and Jordan Hussell. Isca top scorer Wright has now scored 22 goals in 21 Premiership games. Isca will clinch the championship with a home win over University of Exeter B on Saturday (3.30). Meanwhile, University of Exeter harbour hopes of promotion back to the Men's Hockey League top flight.
With two rounds remaining, the students are a point behind last-day visitors Cardiff & UWIC as the Men's Conference West title chase looks certain to go the distance. Cardiff edged back to the summit following back to back 3-1 home wins over Whitchurch and Cheltenham.

Exeter visit sixth-placed Havant on Saturday while Cardiff host third-placed Guildford in a top of the table clash.
Isca University are on course to finish runners-up to runaway Women's Conference West champions Buckingham following a Stourport slip-up by Southampton side Trojans.
With Trojans hosting unbeaten Buckingham on Sunday the door opens for Isca, who entertain eighth-placed Barnes Hounslow & Ealing to cement second spot. Isca host BHE at the University of Exeter Sports Park at 12.30pm on Sunday.
