STAFF at South West Communications Group have been immunised against the flu virus to maintain a healthy and happy team this winter.

The Sowton-based telecommunications firm offered free flu jabs to all of its members of staff this year, in a bid to keep sick days at a minimum during the colder months. The first to face the needle was company managing director Harry Langley.

He said: "It makes economic sense for us to fund this company-wide immunisation programme to try and keep as many staff members healthy during the winter.

"Every business suffers issues when even a few members of staff have to take time off sick.
