Jamie's hard work lands him big catch
WILLAND angler Jamie Pike has certainly not lost his catching ability. In the first of two sessions Jamie tempted two nice specimens scaling 21lbs 14oz and 17lbs 12oz.
The following day Jamie worked a little harder, moving from the first swim on the right bank up to past the boathouse on the left bank and his decision was well rewarded with a total of four fish.
His all-common catches were topped with one of 20lbs 8oz along with another of 19lbs 2oz and two 17-pounders.

The largest bag of the week was held jointly with six catches in one session. Lapford angler Richard Tierney fished near the top of the right bank and his all-common carp bag was topped by one specimen just short of 20lbs.
Dawlish angler Bernard Courtney changed swim this past week and his decision paid off when he fished midway up the right bank. In total Bernard banked a total of six fish which equated to joint largest bag for the week. His catches included five doubles and a single-figure best of 14lbs 9oz.
James Towill reported a onefish day banking one common carp scaling 16lbs. Jon Enticott landed four fish withthree of his catches being double figured (best of 14lbs).
Up in the top lake, Dan Clinnkscales from Cullompton enjoyed some great sport and was well pleased with his four catches. His fish, all common carp, scaled 18lbs 6oz, 16lbs 8oz, 15lbs 6oz and 14lbs 4oz.
