FOR the third week running there was a change of leadership in the E Division — and this time it is Kentisbeare who are on top.

Ashburton and Halberton, the two previous leaders, both failed to win their encounters while the Kents were beating Exeter Civil Service.

Teenage all-rounder Henry Parkin helped himself to four for 26 and Andy Chave picked up a similar haul with four for 43 as Civil were bundled out for 102 on their own ground.

The in-form Chris Gillett then hit 46 and Neil Farley chipped in with 29 as Michael Cook's side picked up maximum points and with it took over at the top of the table.

This is the first time this term that they have held such a lofty position.

Next up for Kents is Saturday's huge clash with Ashburton.

Halberton slipped out of the top two and find themselves down in fourth after they scraped a losing draw at Woodbury.

When Woodbury were 81 for two in the 20th over, a good score looked on the cards.

Tim Greenslade (44) and Matt Plowman (30) added 53 for the third wicket, but the last five wickets fell in the space of five overs. Jeremy Turner took three for 27 and Dave Kruge three for 21.

Halberton may have fancied their chances because of their strong batting line-up, but Woodbury's attack never let them settle.

Only John Chilcott (32) looked like providing an innings of substance.

Greg Maher chipped in with 16 before a vital 15 not out from Jerry Turner ensured Halberton limped to a draw at 109 for nine. Fred Harding blocked out the final over.
