Kimara publishes her first book
FORMER University of Exeter student Kimara Nye has had her first book published.
The English graduate said she wanted to tell a traditional story with a twist and came up with The Four Little Pigs.
The book follows Tom, as he becomes part of the fairytale with the help of storytelling Granny Mag who just happens to be a witch.
When her spell transports Tom into a fairytale world he must try to save himself and the three little pigs from being eaten by the big bad wolf. But is the wolf really that big and that bad or is he just doing his job as a fairytale wolf?
It is aimed at four to eight-year-olds but Kimara, who specialised in creative writing, said she hopes it appeals to adults too. She said: "As a child I always wished that I could be part of the story.
"This inspired me to write a book where children would feel a part of a fairytale that they already knew."
The book has been published by Maverick books and was created with the help of illustrator Marcin Bruchnalski. It is available in all good bookshops.
