FORMER Blundell's School pupil Matt Kvesic helped England under-18s stretch their unbeaten run to 15 games at the weekend.

They beat their France counterparts 33-16 at Newbury on Sunday, with Kvesic starting at No. 8.

Kvesic, who is part of Worcester's academy, said coaches John Fletcher and Peter Walton have cultivated a ruthless streak in the squad.

"We went into the game with a really positive attitude, to play some rugby and put some points on them," he said.

"We didn't want to be scared and John Fletcher and Peter Walton have given us that mentality to keep on playing.

"France came out and put us under a pressure a bit, but the game is all about momentum and we just kept on building."

London Irish wing Marland Yarde ran in the two decisive tries for England, with lock Dominic Barrow (Leeds), centre Elliot Daly (Wasps) and wing Charlie Walker (Leicester) also touching down.
