Lakes in the frame for UK National Parks photo competition
Clicking cameras belonging to professionals and amateurs alike have long captured the rugged splendour of the Westcountry's two national parks – Exmoor and Dartmoor.
This year's UK National Parks photo competition theme is "National Parks: Actively Yours", with lakes at the two popular visitor attractions set to feature.
South West Lakes Trust, the charity which looks after the lakes, is encouraging people of all ages and abilities to join in the competition using the bodies of water as a backdrop.
Exmoor area manager Alex Forster said: "With an abundance of wildlife, from stoats to great crested grebes, dormice to dragonflies, stunning scenery and poetic human activities from fly-fishing to sailing, Wimbleball Lake is probably one of the best locations within the National Parks"

Neil Reeves, Devon countryside manager for South West Lakes Trust, said: "The Lakes of Dartmoor National Park provide the perfect backdrop to this photographic competition.
"The reservoirs are there to provide not only safe drinking water, but also recreational facilities for the public."
The competition runs from March 18 to April 26 – and the winner walks away with his or her choice of footwear from outdoor expert Merrell.
