VETERAN Harry Moore produced a good time in the 1,000th race of his career.

Moore, who has been running more than 40 races a year for the last 24 years, ran the last of the Yeovilton 5k series last week.

He finished with his second-fastest time of the series — 35mins 15secs.

The first Axe Valley Runner across the line was Josh Rosindell with a new PB of 18:12 in 17th place.

Liam Roberts finished 35th in 19:26 — two minutes outside his PB. Emma Kiernan finished 47th with a new PB of 20.17, ensuring she was second lady in the overall rankings.

Julia Phillips finished 57th in 21:00, ahead of daughter Romy in 93rd in 25:14.

Debbie Barry took part in the Chippenham Half Marathon and she was very pleased to beat her PB by three minutes by finishing 816th in 2hrs 5mins.

Roger Bramley knocked four minutes off his PB by finishing the Robin Hood Half Marathon in Nottingham in 1:36, giving him 521st place.

Luke Reed was third in the Shepton Beauchamp 10k in 40:52.
