Hele Park's Basil Steer squad returned triumphant after a superb match with Torquay at Stover in round two of the competition.
Alexis Lopez was out first from a highly talented squad and quickly established a winning platform.
Lopez was one up through four in his match with Harrison Thorne (6) and never conceded the lead, despite Thorne's tenacity, eventually taking the win on the 18th hole.
Ben Wilson's beginning was less auspicious against David Ruth (6), going three holes down through six.
But Wilson's consistent long and straight hitting was the undoing of Ruth and he won convincingly with 5&3.
Scott Jessop was the third team member but was given a walkover as his opponent forgot the match was on, giving the club a decisive 3-0 win over a very good team.
Round three sees Hele Park play Teign Valley, although the venue has yet to be decided.
But with a solid squad — consisting juniors' captain Josh Martin, Sam Wallace, Sam Dunn, Jack Maddicks, Wilson, Lopez, Jessop and James Cobb — the club will be confident of their chances wherever they play.
On Sunday, Hele Park hosted seven clubs in the Juniors' South Devon League with the home club performing superbly on their own back garden.
The team of Lopez, Wilson, Jessop, Aiden Cosway, Maddicks and Cobb all acquitted themselves well to be named overall winners.
Round of the day goes to Hayden Priscott (2) from Dainton Park, who shot 68, closely followed by Wilson with 69 — meaning he was cut just before the Basil Steer round at Stover.
