LONDON Welsh will have to wait at least another week to discover if they can be promoted to the Aviva Premiership, after their appeal date was pushed back by a week.

The original appeal date against the decision that they had not achieved the minimum standards criteria for entry to the top flight by an independent audit was scheduled for today (Thursday), but it has now been put back to Thursday, July 28.

London Welsh won the Championship after beating Cornish Pirates 66-41 over two legs in May, but their plans to groundshare with Oxford United were rejected.

Ben Youngs will miss the remainder of England's tour of South Africa after sustaining a shoulder injury.

Harlequins' Karl Dickson has been sent to South Africa as a replacement.

Youngs scored two tries in England's 36-27 defeat to the Springboks on Saturday.

Mike Tindall has rejected a move to French second division outfit Pays d'Aix.

The former England captain was told by ex-boss Bryan Redpath that he would not be offered a new deal at Kingsholm and was looking to move across the Channel, but has decided against it after meeting with representatives from the French side.
