Machete man arrested outside Exmouth McDonalds
Police were called to Exmouth McDonalds after reports of a man in possession of a machete.
Philip Foster, 54, of Exmouth was arrested by officers at 12.45am on Sunday, March 10, at the restaurant chain on Salterton Road.
He was taken into police custody and charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
A police spokesperson also confirmed that in addition to the hand made machete, Mr Foster had a serrated kitchen knife on him.

Mr Foster appeared at Exeter Magistrates Court the following day and had a bail hearing yesterday, Thursday, March 14.
Mr Foster has been in police custody since the incident and has been bailed until March 21.
A spokesperson for the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines at Lympstone confirmed that police had informed camp staff about the incident involving Mr Foster.
