Mamma Stone hosts city set
EXETER band NUMB will be supporting major soul act Mica Paris as part of the grand opening at Mama Stone's next week.
A string of concerts has been announced at the venue starting on Thursday.
NUMB, which stands for Never Underestimate Musical Belief, will perform on Saturday in support of Mica Paris, who has just released her fifth album, Born Again.
The set of concerts concludes on Sunday with a performance by Joss Stone, the daughter of Mama Stone's owner Wendy Joseph.
Ben Daughtry from NUMB said: "It is an awesome gig for us and an honour to be supporting such an accomplished artist.
"We have played with some great bands but this tops it so far."
The four-piece has just completed its second album Salt of the Earth, which was mastered by Muse producer Paul Reeve.
The band has been touring the country all summer, playing festivals including Glastonbury and Beachbreak Live, as well as performing at Exmouth and Exeter Respect. The band found success in 2007 when its song Night Time was added to the soundtrack of Brit film comedy Three and Out, starring Mackenzie Crook.
Tickets for the Mica Paris/NUMB gig at Mama Stones are £20, and are available on 01392 848485.
