Man faces Exeter Crown Court hearing over theft of £38k of jewellery from city's Ernest Jones
A MAN has been arrested and charged with stealing jewellery from Ernest Jones in Exeter.
Timothy Sullivan, 48, of Dagenham in Essex, has appeared before Exeter magistrates in connection with a raid on the shop in High Street last September. He is accused of stealing 14 items of Fope jewellery worth £38,459.

He is also accused of stealing Pandora jewellery worth £975 from MG Welch in Taunton on the same date.
Magistrates directed that the case should be committed to Exeter Crown Court for a trial and he will make his first appearance on February 22.

He has been remanded in custody.
Police are also continuing to investigate an unrelated armed raid at Ernest Jones last week.
