New hotel for Exeter
Approval has been given for a new 102-bed hotel on the outskirts of Exeter – in spite of being blasted by Exeter Civic Society for its ‘bland’ design.
The £6.5m scheme will stand on the corner of Honiton Road and Fitzroy Road and includes a 200-cover restaurant.
Outline planning permission for the Premier Inn had already been approved but the scheme came before the city’s planning committee again because of the criticisms lodged by Exeter Civic Society.
