New signing Lee goes straight into Tivvy squad
NEW signing Lee Collier will come into the Tiverton Town squad for tomorrow's Southern League Premier Division clash with Brackley.
The midfielder has joined from Mangotsfield United on non-contract terms after spending the past few weeks training with the club.
And manager Martyn Rogers was delighted to get his man, who played in Conference South when he was at Newport County last season.
Rogers said: "He's a hard worker, a good footballer and he has played at a higher level, so he shouldn't have any worries about playing for us.
"We are fairly thin on the ground at the moment so Lee will give us a boost. Jamie Hatch has a two-game suspension coming up so he will help cover for that as well."
The match will see the club honour Rogers for racking up 1,000 games in charge of the Yellows.
So the manager is hopeful he will be allowed to celebrate the milestone in style.
He said: "The most important thing is we win.
"If the boys keep performing like they have done we will be okay."
