New soft play area delights youngsters
PARENTS and carers of disabled children have welcomed the opening of a new soft play area at Community Equality, Disability Action's (CEDA's) base on Exeter Business Park.
Television presenter Judith Chalmers, president of the Lady Taverners charity, officially opened the £10,000 playroom for youngsters. The Lady Taverners is an offshoot of the Lord's Taverners, the youth cricket and disability sports charity.

The new soft playroom includes disability exercise equipment and an interactive soundwall.
Mum Kathy Blick from Exeter, whose son James, 15, attends CEDA, said: "The room is a nice, spacious environment, the sound effects are an added bonus and the coloured walls make it quite peaceful, somewhere calming to chill out as well have fun."
CEDA provides learning and social opportunities for young people with disabilities.

“It's nice to see some worthwhile charities are still able to receive funds from other organisations with this so called recession we are in. Well done to the Lord Tavs for spreading the dosh around and giving hope to others in the charity sector. CEDA seems a very worthwhile place after looking at their website, very well done all involved!”
