Ongoing fire incident in Woodbury Salterton
Just after 6am today, fire appliances from Middlemoor, Topsham and a water bowser from Exeter were sent to a report of a large fire in the open involving scrap wood and wood chippings in Greendale Business Park in Woodbury Salterton.
Upon arrival crews reported a large pile of wood and wood chip alight. They are currently at work with one main jet and using a mechanical digger to try and extinguish the fire, utilising a local fire hydrant and the water bowser for water supply.
