PASTY makers Ivor Dewdney have stepped in to take over sponsorship of the Devon Cricket League's Twenty20 finals day.

Ivor Dewdney, whose headquarters is in Plymouth, has taken over from Dartmoor Brewery as competition sponsors for 2010.

The firm has six shops in Plymouth and outlets in Newton Abbot and Exeter.

The company already sponsors the Plymouth Twenty20 competition and Cornwood CC. Local tournaments are held in Plymouth, Torbay, Newton Abbot, Exeter, Bradninch, Tavistock and North Devon to determine four semi-finalists.

The semi-finals and the final will be at Cornwood CC on August 15. Winning finalists, who collect £350 in prize money, will represent Devon in the ECB National Competition.
