EXETER Chiefs crossed for 10 tries as they blew Birmingham & Solihull aside with a 62-12 win at Sandy Park.

Mark Foster claimed a hat-trick and Gareth Steenson ended the match with 17 points as he kicked six conversions to go with a try of his own.

Neil Clark gave the Chiefs the perfect start with a try after three minutes and Haydn Thomas dotted down a minute after Bees lock Alex Davidson had been yellow carded.

It got worse for the visitors as flanker Ross Noonan followed Davidson into the bin after just 12 minutes and Steve Jones crossed while Exe had a two-man advantage.

James Scaysbrook brought up the bonus point after 27 minutes and Foster also crossed before Anthony Elliot intercepted a pass to score a try he converted himself.

Steenson and Nic Sestaret also scored tries before half-time, with Exeter leading 41-7 at the interval.

Elliot bagged his second try early in the second half but Foster crossed for two more scores and the game ended with the Chiefs being awarded a penalty try.
