Police appeal after Exeter-to-Paignton train theft
BRITISH Transport Police officers are appealing for the public’s help to trace a man and a woman they would like to speak to in connection with a theft on board a train.
Officers today released CCTV images of a man and woman they believe will have information which can assist the investigation into the incident which happened on board an Exeter-Paignton service.

Investigating officer, PC Darran Blackwell, said: “A female passenger on board the 1322hrs Exeter-Paignton service on Thursday, 26 July, reported to police that her mobile telephone had been stolen while she was on board the train.
“The victim said the theft took place as the train travelled between Exmouth and Exeter stations.

“An investigation into the incident is ongoing and, after reviewing CCTV images from on board the train, I would now like to identify and speak to the man and woman in these photographs as I believe they will have information which can assist us.
“I’d ask anyone who recognises these people, or if you know their current whereabouts, to please contact British Transport Police.”
