Police appeal after cars collide

Exeter police are appealing for information about a two-vehicle collision at a busy road junction in the city in rush hour.

Officers were called to reports that a blue Peugeot 307 had reversed into a black Ford Focus in Rifford Road following an altercation between the drivers.

The Peugeot left the scene and a 26-year-old Exeter man sustained minor injuries.

An Exeter man was arrested on suspicion of assault causing grevious bodily harm and has been released on police bail until 4 December.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision at the junction of Rifford Road and East Wonford Hill around 5.20pm on 1 October to contact them. Call police on 101 with reference DE/12/9668.
