Police helicopter lands to assist missing vunerable person
At about 10am on Saturday 13th October the Force helicopter was deployed to search for a high risk missing person in the Wonford area of Exeter and whose welfare was of immediate concern.
The police had requested the crew of the helicopter to search the area of Ludwell Valley Park. The search was also carried out by a police dog handler and several ground units.
The helicopter crew located the missing person and due to their vulnerable condition decided to take immediate action by landing and dropping of a Police Air Observer (Police officer).
The Police Air Observer then lead the missing person to the local police units. The missing person was then taken to a place of safety.
