Police investigate rape report near Sidwell Street, Exeter
Police are investigating a reported rape on a woman in Exeter and are appealing for witnesses.
The incident occurred sometime between 1am and 2am this morning, in a lane that joins Sidwell Street and King William Street near to St Sidwell’s Church.

The location of the scene remains cordoned off whilst police continue their enquiries.
Police spokesman said: “This is the early stages of the investigation and there is very little information we can share at this stage. Right now detectives will be gathering all the details they can which will include carrying out interviews and forensic analysis.
