It is believed he may be wearing hunting-style clothes.

Detective Inspector Ben Deer, of Exeter CID, said: "The police are ploughing a lot of resources into tracing this man and we are now seeking the public's assistance in tracking him down."

Police also said that one man was arrested for aiding and abetting an offender in connection with the hunt and has been bailed.

Police ask that if anyone sees this man or may know his current whereabouts to contact them immediately on 101.

Alternatively they can contact Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111, quoting the crime reference number DE/13/1442.
