POLICE in Exeter stopped a car next to Polsoe Bridge railway station to carry out a search of the occupants on suspicion of drugs offences.

Following intelligence they were taken back to Heavitree Road police station where a search was carried out but no drugs were found.

Officers said they hope the visible presence on the street will reassure the public that action will be taken over drugs.
