PUPILS at an Exeter secondary school turned up to the leavers' prom in some unusual vehicles.

One West Exe Technology College pupil rode a horse, while another arrived on a red double-decker London bus. There was also a two-wheeled personal transporter; an open-top Ferrari and a quad bike.

Others opted to turn up in the traditional limousines.

The prom was held at Reed Hall on the University of Exeter's main campus.

As well as a meal, cakes and a disco, there was an award ceremony, where the prom queen Amy Harris and prom king Neil Evans were crowned.

Head boy Robert Browning and head girl Emma Barker, who were presenting the awards, were voted the most hardworking students of the year — so had to present the awards to each other.

“Just to say that you spelt my name wrong - it's Barker not Baker. Thanks :)”
